Boys & Girls Track Teams Find Success at Tri-State Championships

The Girls and Boys Track teams had a successful weekend competing in the Tri-State Championships.

The girls 4×8 relay team (Tara Richardson '17, Maria Lohmann '17, Madison Tanczos '20, and Hannah Valenty '20) ran 10:11.61 for 1st place and a new school record! The girls 4×4 relay team (Maria Lohmann '17, Tara Richardson '17, Grace Majoris '20, and Madison Tanczos '20) also took home a 1st place. Tara Richardson '17 won the 800 (2:31.64), Maria Lohmann '17 was 3rd (2:33.14), and Hannah Valenty '20 was 5th (2:34.36). Madison Tanczos '20 was 1st in the 400 with a time of 61.62, Tara Richardson '17 was 8th (66.28), and Lisa Nardozzi '20 was 9th (66.32). Lisa Nardozzi '20 took 6th place in the 100 with a time of 13.66. Grace Majoris '20 was 3rd in the 300 Intermediate Hurdles (52.83). Haley Hamilton '20 was 2nd in the 1600 (5:38.98) and 2nd in the 3200 (12:04.44). Ashley Norling '19 was 4th in the high jump (4'8) and 4th in the shot put (28'11.50), and Marissa Bordas '20 was 8th in long jump (15'.50). The girls team took 2nd place overall out of the 17 teams that competed in the meet.

The boys 4×8 relay team (Matt Quinn '17, Cole Cejer '17, Eli Pace '18, and Andrew Heller '18) ran 8:54.67 for 3rd place. The boys 4×4 relay team (Matt Quinn '17, Cole Cejer '17, Chris Kocent '18 , and Matt Schnarre '17) ran 3:40.83 for 3rd place. Matt Scharre '17 was 3rd in the 400 (53.74) and Cole Cejer '17 (54.63) took 5th. Matt Schnarre '17 also took 5th in the 200 (23.98). Chris Kocent '18 was 3rd in the 800 (2:05.14), and Eli Pace '18 was 8th in the 3200 (11:25.76).
