Three OLSH students - Maria Yarsky '19, Joe Valenty '20, and Caroline Friend '20 - participated in the American Federation Pueri Cantores Choral Festival and Mass. Pueri Cantores is an international Catholic choral organization that provides opportunities for student choirs to participate in liturgical music. There are festivals held around the US and in Europe throughout the year. The festival was hosted by St. Paul's Cathedral in Oakland and the National Catholic Education Association. The OLSH students joined students from around the Pittsburgh area, as well as choral students from other cities and parishes for a five-hour rehearsal with guest conductor Mr. Paul French from Chicago. The day concluded with Mass at the Cathedral, celebrated by Bishop David A. Zubik, and highlighted with beautiful and inspiring music from the students.
