This morning, the OLSH sophomores, juniors, and seniors were welcomed back to school with a special assembly in the AAC to start the day. The morning began with a prayer led by campus minister Mrs. Caitlin Snatchko ’10, the pledge of allegiance led by assistant principal Mr. Shawn Holup, and a welcome from school president Mrs. Terry O’Rourke Donoghue. Principal Mr. Tim Plocinik introduced new teachers Mr. Don Fontana (theology) and Mrs. Rachael Wallover (English). Next Mr. Plocinik addressed each class with a specific message. He encouraged the sophomores to demonstrate the Felician Core Values by lending a helping hand to the freshmen. The Class of 2021 was encouraged to face the challenges of junior year with strength and to enjoy the traditions of Ring Day and hosting prom. The seniors were recognized as the new leaders in the school and were reminded that along with the excitement of senior privileges comes the year of making memories. OLSH’s 6 new transfer students were welcomed as new members of the OLSH family and the entire faculty, staff, and administration gave the student body a standing ovation to welcome them to the 2019-2020 school year. As the students walked up to the school bulding to begin their classes, teachers, staff, and even the Felician Sisters, lined the path, greeting each student with a friendly smile of encouragement for a great year.
