The Collier Family has been one of the school’s most generous benefactors who value the OLSH educational experience given to their children, Annie ‘10 and Luke ‘11. It is their sincere desire to help make an OLSH education possible for anyone who desires it, inspiring them to establish the Poleski Family Scholarship, the Collier Family Incentive Scholarship, and the Annie and Luke Collier Pay it Forward Scholarship.
The Poleski Family Endowed Scholarship was awarded to Sarah Nagel. This full-tuition scholarship is awarded annually to a rising sophomore student who demonstrates a love of learning as well as a propensity for helping people, and who exudes empathetic concern for others. The scholarship is renewable in the junior and senior years if the student maintains the scholarship’s eligibility requirements.
The Collier Family Incentive Scholarship was awarded to Adriana Valvo. Recipients of this scholarship are drawn from the pool of applicants for the Poleski Scholarship and are awarded on an as-needed basis (as determined by the benefactor). This $2,000 is renewable in the junior and senior years.
The Annie and Luke Collier Pay it Forward Scholarship was established in honor of the Collier children who graduated from OLSH. This $1,000 scholarship is also awarded on an as-needed basis (as determined by the benefactor) and is also drawn from the pool of applicants for the Poleski Scholarship. This year Veronica Ingros and Noah Wheeler were selected to receive this scholarship.
The Collier Family scholarships have benefitted 20 students over the past 12 years, truly making it possible for students to enjoy the full OLSH experience, and in many cases making it possible for a student to continue their education at OLSH through graduation. OLSH is so grateful to the Collier family for their generosity and care of OLSH and our students.
