Described by the Beaver County Times as a "tireless worker," Justena Giles '23 went 13-4 in the 2023 season with a 2.46 ERA and 88 strikeouts. She set an OLSH record with 35 career wins as a pitcher and struck out 233 batters in 240 innings pitched with a 2.78 ERA in her 3-year career. (Justena's freshman year season was limited due to COVID-19.) During the Senior Night game versus Bentworth on April 21, Justena struck out 12 batters (a career high) and pitched a complete game no-hitter, making her the only pitcher in OLSH softball history to perform this magnificent feat.
