OLSH Students Recognized for Success on AP Exams

Forty-three OLSH students were recognized by the College Board for their outstanding performance on Advanced Placement (AP) exams taken throughout their high school career. The number of OLSH students recognized with this honor demonstrates the academic talent and hard work of our students and their teachers. We are proud to share the names of the students who earned this recognition and congratulate the students, parents, and teachers on their achievements!

AP Scholar with Distinction is granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams. The following OLSH students are AP Scholars with Distinction: Joseph Daeschner ‘23, Nathanial Hale ‘23, Katarina Komoroski ‘23, Alyssa Minton ‘23, Evelyn Minzer ‘23, Clare Mulvay ‘23, Olivia Mulvay ‘23, Lorin Planinsic ‘23, Nathan Polidora ’24, Clayton James Saftner ‘23, Victoria Smigiel ‘23, Luke Waszyn ‘23, Olivia Wegrzynowicz ‘23, Abby Wertz ‘23.

AP Scholar with Honor is granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams. The following OLSH students are AP Scholars with Honor: Kara Bridge ’23, Philip DuBois ’24, Gabrielle Evans ’23, Cora Fiedler ’24, Mary Grace Gauntner ’24, Karolina Lucas ’23, Lucas Vittorino ’24, Mario Williams ’23.

AP Scholar is granted to students who receive scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP exams. The following OLSH students are AP Scholars: Ellie Baker ’24, Madeleine Banaszak ’24, Giavanna Booz ’23, Meghan Cavender ’24, Collin Cimino ’23, Grace DiGiacomo ’23, Sophie Feldhues ’24, Melanie George ’23, Isabella Glevicky ’24, Franklin Grayson ’24, Mia Grisafi ’23, Rylie Hanlon ’23, Joseph Leininger ’23, Gianna Marino ’24, Morgan O’Brien ’24, Elena Polar ’24, Kyle Rooney ’23, Mark Russell ’24, Nathaniel Schmid ’23, Allison Weaver ’23, Bailey Ye ’25.

124 OLSH students took AP courses last school year. Among those students, a total of 226 AP exams were taken in the spring, with 26 earning top scores of 5. 100% of OLSH students in the following courses earned a qualifying, or passing, score of 3, 4, or 5 on their AP exam: AP Calculus BC, AP Studio Art Drawing, and AP World History.

AP exams are scored on a scale of 1-5. Scores of 3, 4, or 5 are considered “qualifying scores” as many colleges and universities grant credit and/or advanced placement for scores of 3 and above.
