Fourteen OLSH students attended the DMAC Award Ceremony on April 18th. The annual competition, hosted by Robert Morris University, is a special way to recognize talented high school students who provide digital media needs for their school.
The OLSH team won an impressive six awards, including:
- Award of Excellence in Sports Photojournalism for "OLSH vs Fort Cherry" by Anthony Hansen '25
- Award of Excellence in Black and White Photography for "OLSH Swimming" by Emily Funka '25
- Award of Excellence in News/Feature Photojournalism for "Reindeer Games 2023" by Wesley Goshen '26
- Award of Excellence in Feature Article for "Inspiring Students in the History Classroom and in Court: Meet Ms. Jennifer McPeak" by Bailey Ye '25 (click here to read)
- Award of Excellence in Live Event for "Academic Challenge 2024" by the WCHR Morning News Team
- Rookie School of the Year, which recognizes an exceptional school that is either new or returning after a hiatus to DMAC
