OLSH Welcomes New Faculty & Staff Members for 2024-25 School Year

Mr. John Howard joins the OLSH faculty as a Science teacher. Mr. Howard has a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and a Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction, both from Saint Vincent College. He most recently was a Science teacher at Bishop Carroll High School in Ebensburg. He has also been a long-term substitute teacher in the Greater Latrobe School District.

Mrs. Letitia Vallecorsa joins the OLSH faculty as a Music teacher. Mrs. Vallecorsa has a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Penn State University and a Master in Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Gannon University. Most recently, she was the Administrative Assistant to the Principal and School Counseling Office at Hopewell High School. She has extensive experience as a Music teacher in the Hopewell, Baldwin-Whitehall, and South Side Area school districts.

Mrs. Mary Rothenberger joins the OLSH faculty as a part-time Biology teacher. Mrs. Rothenberger has a Master’s of Secondary Education from Carlow University, as well as a Bachelor of Health Science & Biology and Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Duquesne University. She recently completed her student-teaching at Chartiers Valley High School.

Mrs. Sharon Mezzio joins the OLSH staff as a member of the Main Office. She has a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design from State University College at Buffalo, NY. Mrs. Mezzio has held various roles throughout her career, but most recently was a Sales Associate Key Holder at Talbots.

 

Additionally, a few staff members have taken on expanded roles as teachers this school year. Ms. Dolores Manuel will now be teaching an Introduction to Theatre course for all grade levels, and Mr. John Wojtechko will be instructing a Video Production course for grades 10-12. Dr. Matthew London is now a full-time faculty member, teaching Theology courses and Latin I and II.

 

We’re looking forward to a great school year with these new additions to the OLSH family!
