On Monday, March 31, members of the OLSH Class of 2025 came to OLSH throughout the day a little nervous. It was the day of Senior Presentations. These presentations are the culmination of the OLSH Senior Seminar: Felician Values Fulfilled project. Throughout the school year, students engaged in service activities, a job shadow, a water challenge, and a budget project. During their presentations, students reflected on their experiences, connecting everything back to each of the Felician Core Values, and talking about their own personal transformations. Presentations included a video and a farewell speech.
Each senior presented to a panel of 3-4 faculty members. Felician Sisters dropped in on some presentations to see the impact of an OLSH education on our students. Students shared about service projects with organizations around the Pittsburgh area, from youth sports to the food bank to the Special Olympics. They shadowed judges, engineers, teachers, and doctors. Some even had the opportunity to shadow OLSH alumni.
Teachers enjoyed hearing about students' experiences and how they personally connected with the Felician Core Values. They were moved watching the creative ways students demonstrated their transformation through video, and were touched by farewell speeches that made it clear students were greatly appreciative of their time at OLSH.
