As part of Mission & Heritage Week, several service opportunities were planned for students to put the Felician Core Values into action. On Thursday, a small group of students did work at the Jubilee Soup Kitchen in Pittsburgh and on Friday, another group of students volunteered with the TOR Sisters Penance of Sorrowful Mother in Steubenville, OH. Students helped to prepare and serve food to the homeless.
On Thursday night, students spent the night outside on the OLSH campus in boxes to raise awareness about the issue of homelessness. In addition, participating students raised $1,500.00 for Felician Center in Kingstree, SC. The experience was meaningful to the students involved as they learned more about those in need.
