Wednesday, November 22 was Career Day at OLSH. Almost every space in the school was in use as 52 speakers, comprised of alumni, parents, and friends of OLSH, gathered to share their career experience and advice with the students. Students were able to attend 5 sessions during the day, some of which were assigned to them based on a career assessment survey; others were chosen by the students.
Shelly Kocsuta β05, a Physician Assistant who traveled from Florida to present to the students, said, βIt was such an honor to be back at OLSH after so many years. Career day was a great way for me to combine my past and my present. I wouldn't be where I am or who I am without the foundation of knowledge and faith I received during my time at OLSH. I hope my passion for medicine inspired some young minds to pursue the Physician Assistant profession.β
The OLSH Counseling Center would like to thank all of the speakers who took the time to attend Career Day and provide our students with a valuable career exploration experience.
