Pennsylvania's Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit (OSTC) Program provides the opportunity for businesses, like UGI Energy Services, to make donations to scholarship organizations and receive a PA tax credit. The OSTC program provides tuition assistance to eligible students residing within low-achieving public school districts to attend private schools, like OLSH. UGI Energy Services LLC, the midstream and energy marketing subsidiary of UGI Corporation, has provided $1.8 million in scholarships through this program since 2014. This year, UGI Energy Services will contribute $200,000 to over 60 schools and scholarship organizations within the commonwealth. Today, Pamela Witmer, VP of governmental affairs and Jaclyn Nawa, communications specialist, presented OLSH with a $5,000 contribution. Mr. Ben Becze, Director of Advancement at OLSH, remarked, "We are so grateful to companies like UGI for their ongoing support of education through Pennsylvania's tax credit programs. These programs are essential in making it possible for students to choose OLSH for a high-quality Catholic education."
