The 37th Annual Keystone State Games Festival of Sports took place in the Luzerne County July 25 - 28, 2018.  The Scholastic team (players going into their junior or senior years of high school) from the West Region won the gold medal! The team was comprised of 14 high school baseball players from the WPIAL and was coached by OLSH head coach Phil McCarren, as well as Ed Carr (Freeport) and Mark Spohn (Burrell). OLSH baseball player Peter Fabiano ’20 pitched and played 3rd base for the team. The West’s overall record was 5-0, and they defeated Pocono Region 3-1 in the gold medal game played at King’s College in Wilkes-Barre last Saturday.
