In celebration of National Catholic Sisters Week, OLSH faculty and students joined with the Felician Sisters at Mooncrest for an afterschool service project.

Last week, a four-member Middle States Validation Team, visited OLSH as part of the reaccreditation process.

Congratulations to the members of the OLSH forensics team who competed at the Catholic Forensics League (CFL) national qualifiers this past weekend.

On February 8, ten OLSH students, under the direction of OLSH social studies department chair and Model UN Coordinator Mr. Scott DeVivo, traveled to Baltimore to attend the Johns Hopkins University Model United Nations Conference (JHUMUNC).

On Sunday, February 11, 2018, a group of 45 OLSH students, parents, faculty, alumni, and staff joined the Felician Sisters for the annual OLSH Love Walk for the Poor.

On Saturday, February 3, two OLSH students, Sylvie Lewis ’20 and Celeste Kristek ’18, participated in ExtravanganzART 2018 at the Sewickley Public Library.

Each year, OLSH is represented by students, faculty and staff at the March for Life in Washington, DC, and this year was no exception.

On Tuesday, January 15, OLSH was pleased to welcome representatives from Northwest Bank in Sewickley who came to tour the school and deliver a $10,000 donation to OLSH through the OSTC tax credit program.

OLSH Spanish teacher Kelly Mullen was recently selected by IREX (International Research & Exchanges Board) to participate in the 2017-2018 Teacher for Global Classrooms (TGC) program. She is one only 76 teachers selected from the more than 450 nationwide who applied to this year’s program, which is funded by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.

The OLSH drama team’s performance of Pullman Car Hiawatha earned them 3rd place in the state at the PHSSL Drama Festival.
