Students share their gifts and talents through OLSH's wide array of arts opportunities.
OLSH is proud to provide students with outlets to foster their artistic talents. Students can explore visual arts, music, and theatre throughout their time at OLSH through various classes and extracurricular opportunities. OLSH provides visual arts classes such as AP Studio Art, Ceramics, and Digital Photography. Musically inclined students can participate in Concert Choir or Band, or learn to play guitar or piano. Performers have a variety of options to be on stage with a fall play, Christmas play, and spring musical as well as additional extracurriculars and competitions. The Winter and Spring Fine Arts Festivals feature performances by the concert choir and piano students, as well as a gallery of artwork from our visual arts students. Student artwork is exhibited around the school throughout the year. Partnerships and collaborations with arts organizations include the Pittsburgh CLO Gene Kelly Awards for Excellence in High School Musical Theater, the High Notes Music Festival, DMAC (Digital Media Arts Consortium), and the Carnegie Museum of Art.
