Rachael Wallover ‘07, OLSH English Teacher, is thrilled to be giving back to her alma mater in her second year back. Rachael is thankful for the support of her former teachers and is driven to inspire her students through literature and creativity.

Each year, OLSH joins with other Catholic Schools around the country to celebrate Catholic Schools Week, recognizing the difference that Catholic education makes in the lives of students.

Congratulations to the students earning a 3.5 GPA or higher who were named to the second quarter OLSH Honor Roll.

Like so many other events this year, the annual March for Life is being held virtually. Students at OLSH are participating spiritually from afar with a special prayer service and the opportunity to view online coverage of the event in theology classes.

Jessica Sellman ‘02, OLSH Director of Admissions & Enrollment, has a special place in her heart for her alma mater. With community, faith, and family at the center of her life, she seized the opportunity to return to OLSH in 2013 to find a job that fulfilled her purpose.

Caitlin Snatchko '10, OLSH Campus Minister and Theology teacher, didn't expect to be teaching at her alma mater, but when she returned in 2017, she found the same sense of family and community she felt as a student.

Many things look different this school year, including the way students participate in extracurricular activities, like forensics (speech and debate). Students competing in forensics this year have been excited to still have the opportunity to compete, but have had to make a few adjustments along the way.

The OLSH Christmas Play took on a different look this year, but with the help of many talented alumni, a full variety-show style performance was presented to families just after the holiday.

The generosity of a lead donor and additional contributions from OLSH faculty and staff resulted in over $4,400 distributed to lunch accounts of families who have demonstrated need.

In lieu of a full Ring Day celebration this year, the class rings of the OLSH Class of 2022 were blessed and a video was prepared and shared with students and parents on the traditional date of November 21 - the founding day of the Felician Sisters. We intend to reschedule the Ring Day Mass in 2021.
