Students in OLSH's Ceramics II and III courses had the opportunity to learn about raku firing, an ancient Japanese technique at Standard Ceramics in Carnegie.

OLSH joined with fellow Felician ministries in celebrating our Felician-Franciscan heritage with Mission & Heritage Week in early October. Students participated in service activities and prayer as they learned more about the Felician Sisters who founded the school.

Last weekend, four OLSH alumni were recognized for their achievements at the annual Distinguished Alumni Awards brunch. These four women are outstanding representatives of OLSH, as each carries the values instilled by the school into their professional lives.

The National Merit Scholarship Program recognizes exceptional academic achievement. This year four OLSH seniors were named Commended Students, placing them among the top 50,000 scorers on the 2018 PSAT/NMSQT.

The freshman class at OLSH boasts two sets of twins! All four young women came to OLSH from Holy Trinity School and all four are Girl Scouts. They worked together on two different projects to serve others and earn the Girl Scout Silver Award.

The OLSH AP Advantage Program, in partnership with the University of Notre Dame's AP Teacher Investment Program, provides training and resources to teachers of AP courses. Thanks to a generous donor, the Program also provides financial incentive awards to students earning qualifying scores of 3, 4, or 5 on the AP exams and to the teachers of those students.

Mr. Tyler Rodgers works as a teacher in the English department and the OLSH Writing & Learning (OWL) Center. He is very involved in student life at OLSH, frequently serving as an emcee for student events or volunteering to appear in WCHR promotional videos or to participate in pep rally activities. Mr. Rodgers leads by example, showing students the value of getting involved.

Matthew is one of approximately 16,000 students from across the United States to achieve this level of recognition. He is the second OLSH student in the last 5 years to be recognized at this level.

A new tradition at OLSH, student-athletes and their families join the Felician Sisters for Mass at the start of each sports season during the school year.

OLSH sophomores, juniors, and seniors began the 2019-2020 school year today with a rousing welcome from faculty, staff, administration, and the Felician Sisters.
